Pet Promise™

Company: Pet Promise™

Product Description:

The founders of Pet Promise have created a line of pet-food products that are made only from high-quality natural ingredients. By helping to support ranchers outside of the factory farm system, these products contribute to a sustainable and humane way of raising livestock that also helps to preserve both the stability and environment of rural communities. At the same time, they enable everyone to keep their pets' diet free of byproducts, rendered proteins, added antibiotics and hormones, helping your canine and feline companions to enjoy long and healthy lives. In addition to providing your dogs' and cats' with protein sources that are both pure and appetizing, Pet Promise™ lets you fulfill the unspoken promise you make to your pets when you bring them home -- to feed and care for them just as you would any member of your family.

Pet Promise™ only buys source-verified, natural ingredients from ranchers who guarantee that the meat and poultry is free of added hormones and antibiotics. Their meat and poultry is not blended with ingredients that do not meet their stringent standards of purity, which include:

• No animal byproducts
• No added growth hormones that make farm animals grow more quickly.
• No antibiotic-fed protein
• No rendered meats.
• No factory-farm meat or poultry.
• No artificial colors, flavors, or preservatives.

Interesting Tidbits:

Pet Promise™, a complete line of nutritious and great tasting dog and cat food, originates back to a day in 1990 when Anthony Zolezzi, a long-time food-industry executive, noticed the marked distinction between an organic and chemically-treated strawberry field. Observing the life of the organic field in radical contrast to the barren appearance of the latter field, Zolezzi decided to devote his talents and expertise to promoting sustainable agriculture.
Eventually, this became a mission to save the family farm, an endeavor in which he was joined by Dave Carter and Myron Lyskanycz. All three were deeply concerned about the impact of big-business factory farming on the environment and water quality of rural communities, as well as on their economies.
