The Explore Safely - Chair Straps idea was conceived after my 20 month-old niece kept moving/climbing on the kitchen chairs, to reach objects on the countertop, tabletop, stove (etc...). She nearly fell trying to do this. That's when I went to the store looking for a child safety product to help keep her off the chairs. The product did not exist, so I decided to create my own. Since I used them effectively at home, and family and friends with toddlers loved them; I decided to start a business.
